FDA compliance at food contact temperature

Temperature matters: an FDA listed PTFE for contact at 200 F is not the same approval as 400 F. AEGIS specifies the right fluoropolymer chemistry for your line temperature, and the documentation reflects the actual service condition.

Food line cleaning kills commodity PTFE. Caustic clean in place at 70 to 80 C, chlorinated rinses, and pressure washing at 1500 psi all attack the coating surface.
